  • We were a four-person organising team, working alongside an advisory committee.
  • We ran the full program pipeline — call for papers, peer review, and scheduling — handling 40+ submissions.
  • I hosted the full-day event for ~100 participants, including a panel discussion with 4 specialists from both academia and industry, 2 invited speakers, and 40+ academic presentations.

Obstacle-avoidance algorithms

  • Designed an autonomous-flight obstacle-avoidance algorithm from scratch with very low compute — O(N) per time step, fast enough for real-time use on low-power chips.
  • 0.026 s of computation on an ordinary laptop simulates 78 s of flight path.
  • Pacific Site Champion, MATLAB Minidrone Competition 2021.
